2. State the Week's reasoning question

Work the source in by extracting before you write. From each article record the design, who was sampled and how, the sample size, how the outcome was measured, what was compared, and the one limitation the authors themselves name. Three Week 3 pitfalls and the fix for each
Describing a study where the activity asked for appraisal. A paragraph that reports what the authors did and found, with no judgment about how much weight it deserves, answers a question nobody asked. The fix is the two-sentence habit above: one internal threat with its likely direction, one boundary on where the finding applies.
Attaching a design label without justification. Calling a study cross-sectional is a fact; explaining what that costs the conclusion is the reasoning. The fix is a rule that every design name in the draft must be followed by a clause beginning with which means.
Building the whole discussion from abstracts. Abstracts report conclusions and omit the detail that decides whether those conclusions hold. The fix is a rule that nothing enters the evidence table until the methods section has been opened and the extraction fields are filled in.
