2. State the Week's reasoning question

Run the whole sequence for one finding before adding a second, because a draft with three findings and no completed sequence is weaker than a draft with one finding carried all the way through. Turning an outcome into an indicator someone could actually collect

The step that most often separates a recommendation from a plan is the one where a general outcome becomes a specific thing to count. Do it explicitly. If the activity requires current evidence, confirm publication dates and whether an older foundational source is still appropriate.

Matching the source to the level of the claim

The most reliable way to lose an evidence row in this subject is a level mismatch. A national or regional figure describes a population your case may not resemble, a single-organization study describes conditions that may not generalize, and a vendor or programme report describes a setting selected for the result. None of these are disqualifying, but each licenses only claims at its own level.

Before a source enters the draft, write two lines: the level of the source and the level of the claim it will support. If they differ, either change the claim, find a source at the right level, or state the gap explicitly as a limitation and reason within it. Three ways Week 4 goes wrong, and the repair for each

The first pitfall is the evidence paragraph that lives alone. Sources are gathered into one block near the front, and the analysis that follows never returns to them. The repair is to delete the block and redistribute every source to the exact claim it supports, then check that no paragraph carries a citation whose finding is not used in that paragraph.

The second pitfall is a recommendation with no owner and no cost. Statements that something should be improved cannot be evaluated, and an evaluation course notices. The repair is to name the stakeholder who would act, the resource or authority the action needs, and the trade-off it creates for someone else, since actions without trade-offs are usually actions nobody has thought through.

The third pitfall is stacking citations to signal thoroughness. Three sources behind one uncontroversial sentence spends words the analysis needs and can make a reader wonder whether any of them were opened. The repair is one source per claim unless the claim is genuinely contested, and where sources disagree, say so and explain which you follow and why.
