2. State the Week's reasoning question

3. Build the work in proof order
Keep problem, evidence, method, finding, limit, and implication aligned. Distinguish a course exercise from original research and never imply approval before the relevant reviewer grants it.
Make a rubric-to-evidence matrix before prose: one row per criterion, the evidence or reasoning needed, where it will appear, what the student must personally do, and the test that will prove completion. Draft the highest-risk row first, not necessarily the introduction. Protect time for replies, calculations, format conversion, approvals, and the final upload.
Integrating earlier Weeks without reusing earlier language
Integration in a doctoral seminar means the concepts return while the writing does not. Build the connection at the level of ideas by making a simple map: on the left, the concepts, methods, or frameworks the course has covered so far; on the right, the parts of the current problem each one can explain. Draw only the lines you can defend and ignore the rest. A concept that connects to nothing on the right does not belong in this Week's draft merely because it appeared earlier in the course.
Then write each connection fresh. The rule is strict and it protects the record: the lesson and the method carry forward, the sentences do not. The strongest integration move is subordination rather than addition. Instead of a paragraph on a framework followed by a paragraph on the problem, write a paragraph about the problem in which the framework does the explaining. Three integration failures in Week 6, and the repair for each
The first is self-recycling. A paragraph written for an earlier submission is close enough to the current prompt that reusing it feels efficient. It is not, and it puts the record at risk.
